Subcontract Commodity Specialist General Machining , Castings and Forgings Location: Irvine, CA SUMMARY Control Systems Division (CSD) is seeking an experienced General Machining, Castings,Forgings and Processing Commodity Leader to develop and implement Sourcing strategies,tools and processes leading to improved total acquisition, cost, supplier delivery and quality as well as supplier rationalization. RESPONSIBILITIES •Responsible for leading and managing the Division’s General Machining ,Castings and Forgings and Outside Processing Spend of $25+ Million Dollars. •Responsible for establishing Division level Sourcing Strategies, segmenting and leveraging spend , right sizing the Supply Base, executing Long Term Agreements aimed at improving cost, delivery, quality ,performance and profitability for the division. •Lead a multi site team in support of supplier selection/rationalization , LTA negotiations, cost reductions, continuous improvement opportunities associated with the Divisions’s General Machining ,Castings and Forgings and Outside Processing spend. •Lead the Division’s Global Sourcing efforts in India, China and Mexico. •Support Aerospace Group led initiatives in leveraged strategies, negotiations and Supplier consolidation process improvement opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, operations, or other related field required and eight or more years of progressive experience. •Must be familiar with and have working knowledge of the complete range of strategic sourcing activities including spend analysis, strategy formulaton, contract negotiations, low cost country sourcing, strategic supplier relationship management, supplier quality, and supplier development. •Commodity Management experience with a proven track record of quality, cost, delivery improvements within area of responsibility. •CPSM/CPM certification, APICS certification is a plus HOW TO APPLY Please upload resume in Word or PDF format with your online application at parker.com/careers referencing Job ID # 8600.
