Work with Sales and Marketing, customers, and Product Engineering to develop business opportunities, create proposals, develop customer or market requirements for application software and electronic control products, perform training, develop system solutions, understand mobile applications at a system level (including functional safety, communication message design, fault handling at machine level), develop mobile application software on Parker products, troubleshoot product/vehicle electronic control systems and develop and perform product validation, support customer application validation.

Work with Sales and Marketing, customers, and Product Engineering to develop business opportunities, create proposals, develop customer or market requirements for application software and electronic control products, perform training, develop system solutions, understand mobile applications at a system level (including functional safety, communication message design, fault handling at machine level), develop mobile application software on Parker products, troubleshoot product/vehicle electronic control systems and develop and perform product validation, support customer application validation. Serve as a bridge between customers/marketing and engineering teams, act as a technical product owner for products under development, co-own product market requirements with product management, own product validation. Utilize customer input and sales information to design or re-design, develop, test and implement complex software programs and applications on Parker products. Provide technical support and expertise to customers, testing applications, responding to customer feedback, installations, maintenance. Own the application development process and the definition of tools to support application development (application templates, code generation tools, test automation tools, etc). Job responsibilities include: • Be the technical expert in developing mobile application software development and electro hydraulics control in particular • Perform software application requirements definition, development, verification and support. • Understand and develop vehicle electronic control systems including the definition of new hardware platforms and systems and software applications. • Work with the customer and product management group to define the requirements new product development projects. Participate in product development as a technical product owner. Own product validation. • Work with a rigorous engineering development process • Lead technology, process and tool development for mobile applications • Perform Voice of the Customer interviews. • Travel 3 to 4 trips per year, sometimes on short notice. Trips can be Domestic and/or International (Americas, Europe, Asia).

Qualifications: Applicants must have the following experience/education: 5 years with: • Programming mobile electronic control system and applications (C/C++/Simulink preferred but others application development is acceptable – CODESYS, Danfoss, Rexroth, etc) • Development of application software following a rigorous engineering process (process qualified for functional safety) • Defining requirements for mobile application software 3 years with: • Working on Control system technical projects • Embedded SW development • C/C++ Following knowledge or work-related experience is a requirement: • Electro hydraulics controls design applied to medium and heavy duty vehicles. • Electronics circuit knowledge • Hydraulics knowledge • Control Design and Implementation • Vehicle communication network J1939 (communication and diagnostics) • CAN-based network analysis and communication using Vector CANalyzer Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Electronics, Computer or Mechatronics. Master’s is an asset. • Controls theory education is an asset. In addition, Must be willing to travel 3 to 4 trips per year, sometimes on short notice. Trips can be Domestic and/or International (Americas, Europe, Asia)
