Responsible for technical maintenance/support of the Parker Aerospace GTFSD-Glendale facility to achieve safety, quality, cost and delivery objectives. Leads a team of 10+ team members maintaining an industrial factory, equipment and machinery of moderate scope and complexity. Regular contact with facility service providers, front line employees and first levels of management. Works with all departments for solution to facility and maintenance issues. Advises Senior Leader Team on facility and maintenance improvement opportunities.

  • Oversees moderately complex maintenance of infrastructure systems, aerospace equipment, machining, buildings and property. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company requirements, and management of maintenance projects. Coordinates with vendors/contractors to support building, infrastructure systems, aerospace equipment and machining lathes/CNC.
  • Reviews and estimates costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Works closely with EHS/Maintenance manager and Supply Chain for long term service agreements, MRO purchasing, personal protective equipment and emergent vendor support services.
  • Formulates and recommends changes in facilities management systems and procedures to include energy conservation programs, infrastructure improvements, facility modifications, etc.
  • Supports EHS/Maintenance manager on safety and environmental programs. Ensures that required documentation and inspections are completed; implements policies, procedures, and training to meet compliance regulations. Ensures safety work orders are completed timely
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical or trade publications, and/or participating in professional associations.
  • Mentors maintenance employees and creates team building atmosphere. Work assignment will include acting as EHS/Maintenance Manager during leader absence. Work assignments may occasionally include cross-functional team projects (e.g. continuous improvement, Lean/Six Sigma events, training development).

    Qualifications
  • B.A. /B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline
  • Four or more years of directly related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results
  • Applied knowledge of industrial equipment, facilities maintenance and infrastructure systems. General knowledge of environmental health and safety principles (e.g. local, county, state and federal regulations).
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
