Military Business Unit Product Improvement and Retrofit administrator conducting analysis of moderate scope and complexity and administers programs or major portions of programs to ensure fulfillment of program obligations, performance goals, and control of program costs.

This position does not have any direct reports

  1. Responsible for inputting, monitoring, and reporting all Product Improvement and Retrofit (PI&R) business opportunities within Winovation.  Part of the updates include coordinating monthly meetings with all aerospace divisions, updating division journals, tracking trends within each division, and maintaining the entire data base for the PI&R program.
  2. Assist the Business Development Managers within CSO tracking multiple programs with high earnings and revenue accountability and complex products and sub-systems. 
  3. Works with business teams, CSO PI&R leads, and Aerospace divisions to promote company technologies, products, and services to meet customer needs and to determine how the division’s capabilities can be leveraged into additional markets. 
  4. Experience with Winovation and Parker PI&R process strongly preferred.
  5.  Primary responsibility to ensure standards within winovation and journal entries are maintained and documented.
  6.  Updates Seibel as needed to match PI&R winovation inputs.
  7.  Maintains journal reports for all aerospace divisions.
  8.  Develops monthly, quarterly, and annual reports measuring key metrics for current and projected sales by division and by group.
  9.  Reviews all newly developed charters and programs and inputs them into winovation
  10. Monitors and maintains the Military Business Unit Plan for Every Platform document
  11. Coordinates and assists in development of major PI&R program marketing brochures in conjunction with business development leads
  12. Develops monthly dashboard documents tracking status to goals for every metric
  13. Assists PI&R BDM Leads in development of Product Improvement & Retrofit business cases and proposals to attract the customer and provide an acceptable level of return to the company by researching customer requirements and translating them into development opportunities.
  14. As the project administrator lead assists in developing, managing, and supporting proposals and business development plans for Division Business Units on all PI&R activities.  Determines the need for cross-division teaming and external strategic partner/alliances to gain business.
  15. Assists the CSO BDM PI&R leads and business development teams in conducting research, evaluating sales performance, and formulating goals and milestones for specific products and system.
  16. Coordinates with the CSO business development teammates to assist in liaison support within and across divisions on existing and new programs. 
  17. Develops and maintains relationships with internal division customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs and further developed business opportunities. 
  18. Assists PI&R BDM Leads in identifying opportunities for military business development by studying competitors' products, problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends. 
  19. Conducts program plan studies of moderate scope and complexity. Prepares budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned program or major portion of a program.
  20. Monitors financial status of programs by tracking and analyzing current revenues and expenses and advises management of the projected effect of any modifications to goals or agreements.
  21. Establishes and defines project plan requirements and performs in-depth studies to determine optimum plans.
  22. Coordinates cross-functional development of project plans and interfaces with suppliers as required to fulfill project obligations.
  23. Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. Collects, analyzes and summarizes information and trends utilizing program management software.
  24. Initiates business contacts and correspondence and prepares required documentation to ensure accurate records of program compliance are maintained.
  25. Applies continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to increase efficiency and customer service and to reduce costs.
  26. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks, and/or participating in professional associations.
  27. Complies with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations; ensures adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions.  Shares specialized knowledge with others. Represents company on specific projects. Mentors new employees. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (i.e. continuous improvement).

Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge in Marketing, Data Base inputting, Parker Aerospace Product, and an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. 

Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through five or more years of increasingly responsible experience in the military market, including 3 or more years of developing and managing monthly meetings within CSO and all Aerospace divisions, with major revenue or scope of responsibility. 

Knowledge of program management, contracts, and business processes and procedures, including technical and business development.  Knowledge of military and commercial PI&R processes and procedures. 

Knowledge of Parker competitors’ products and marketing efforts for potential teaming and alliances. 

Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables and/or incomplete data; understand problems from a broad, long-term perspective. 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and recommend changes to procedures.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to use standard business applications software.  Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, and/or division leadership. 

Ability to demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities. 

Strong analytical skills and highly proficient in Microsoft word applications with focus on excel. 

Knowledge of program administration principles, industry practices, regulations, and policies.

Knowledge of contract interpretation and legal and regulatory requirements related to administration of programs.

General knowledge of and ability to apply continuous improvement techniques to program administration area.

Ability to work on a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of the situation or data requires thorough identification of factors and analysis of impact; work within general work objectives regarding projects and team goals.
