We are currently in need of three Molding Associates I

 

Hiring for this position will be based on experience and the criteria outlined below to perform the duties required.

 

This position reports to the Value Stream Manager.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

1.   Perform a variety of operations to directly support the CSS manufacturing operations and the Parker WIN Strategy. Through practices of lean systems and continuous improvement, contribute to a high performance team to ensure total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, on-time delivery, and a safe work environment while reinforcing Parker's quality and safety polices.

2.   Read and interpret route sheets and blueprints to ensure process flow and quality parts

3.   Comply with all business code of conduct standard, respect the values of others and the diversity of the team. 

4.   Dependable, prompt and reliable with good overall attendance; present at work station when required.

5.   Creates and promotes a safe work environment and enforces the safety policy for themselves as well as for those around them

6.   General understanding of day-by-hour tracking system actively participates with the team to ensure daily goals are met

7.   Produces quality parts to meet customer demand and reduce on waste and scrap. Comply with Parker's Quality policy and processes to ensure compliance to ISO, AS and MS certifications.

8.   Takes accountability of personal results.

9.   Maintains a clean and safe working environment in all production areas.  Embraces 5S practices and lean methodologies. 

10. Stays productive and efficient in their work tasks.

11. Supports team data tracking using Infinity QS (SPC Standard Edition) or similar data base

12. Handles, applies, stores and disposes adhesives sealants, resins and solvents of composite materials.

13. Be physically able to repetitiously load and unload parts from a molding press machine.

14. Trim off excess material/rubber “flash” using hand tools inspect and identify finished molded rubber parts.

15. May work and train from verbal instructions.    

16. Inspects finished products for conformance to specifications.

17. Performs a variety of tasks which require knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, tools and equipment.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent in related field required; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to read and understand bar graphs for department metrics.
