Parker Hannifin, the world's leading manufacturer of industrial refrigeration valves, is seeking a Shipping Material Handler for 1st shift at our Mauston, WI location. Paint, receive, pick, process, pack, move, and store finished product for shipping.

Essential

1. Pick and accumulate parts and place into carts, enter items into computer and transport parts to processing area. 2. Hang, paint, remove, and place finished product into container. 3. Assemble small parts assemblies and replacement kits, place completed parts in plastic bag and seal, identify parts, and place on cart and record data. 4. Operate automatic tag machine to make proper name plates to attach to finished product. 5. Verify accuracy of process lists, remove and place parts on worktable to attach tags, place back on cart, and move to packer. 6. Confirm orders, select appropriate cartons, place products and packing filler materials into container, seal carton, and submit paperwork to shipping clerk. 7. Obtain and affix labels to cartons, band, shrink wrap, and place on skids. 8. Operate electric and hand pallet jack to unload and load trucks, move materials within and between departments, and store materials in designated locations. 9. Make store banks, refill stock supply, and store stock as directed. 10. Fill out paperwork such as pick lists, packing lists, stock locator, and bank cards, and enter into computer system if required. 11. Notify supervisor of any unusual operating or equipment problems. 12. Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. 13. Work in other departments as required.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years of Material Handling experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, specifications, drawings, diagrams, and other correspondence. Ability to communicate with other associates to share information, solve problems, and train. Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions. Simple reference use of pick and packing lists, confirmations, and location sheets. Use adjustable measuring instruments such as weigh scale and tape measure, where interpretation is required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Requires the ability to operate electric and hand pallet jack. Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Skills and Abilities: Requires the ability to operate various machines and equipment to include but not limited to, automatic and manual saws, chamfering machine, foam machine, parts washer, scales, hoist, overhead cranes, electric and hand pallet jack, storage retrieval system, and various hand and hand powered tools. Requires knowledge of material characteristics and receiving and stockroom procedures. Requires basic computer skills. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, push, and pull objects, bend, reach above shoulders, operate electric and hand equipment and lift and/or move 10 to 50 lbs. The associate occasionally is required to use foot/feet to operate equipment, repetitively handle objects, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and far perception. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts, comes in contact with dust and chips and has exposure to fumes.
