Responsibility for all areas of the Quality arena.  Will work directly with internal and external customers and all levels of management. Must have strong communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft (ie, Word, Excel, Access), email and Internet.

  • Work with quality manager to maintain and audit the quality system.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance to layered process audits.
  • Monitors progress of new programs using PPAP database to ensure completion of each task by due date.
  • Informs sales personnel and customers of any changes in schedules.
  • Schedules a complete annual layout of parts supplied to customers as required.
  • Provides technical assistance with statistical qualification, layouts, capability studies, material cert testing and gauge studies.
  • Manage internal and external gauge calibration activities.
  • Work with quality manager to respond directly to customer complaints.
  • Authorizes customer returns.
  • Coordinate corrective action activities and associated customer complaints.
  • Issue Supplier Corrective Action requests for supplier quality complaints.
  • Ensure satisfactory problem resolution from our suppliers.
  • Set up new programs on the Doss vision machines.
  • Assist others on optimal use of the Smart Scope and Keyance non-contact measurement devices.
  • Assist as needed with sample prep and testing activities in the Lab.
  • Back up quality techs as needed (both lab and production)
  • Approve weekly payroll for the Quality team.

  • High school diploma or GED required; 2-year Associates degree (or equivalent experience in Quality)
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with customer interface in a quality function.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with quality system in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access), email and Internet.
  • Proven ability to problem solve and coordinate in a multi-task environment.
  • Exceptional people skills, along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience programming and operating non-contact vision measuring equipment.
  • Supervisor or team lead role experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.


This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
