This entry level tax position primarily assists with U.S. indirect tax consisting of sales and use, property and credits and incentives.  It also supports the broad tax team with other Federal, State, and International income tax matters. Responsibilities include collecting, compiling and analyzing information for use in the preparation of tax filings, tax audits, tax accounting and other tax related projects all while maintaining organized work habits and striving for continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Administer the monthly sales and use process including 50+ filings and account reconciliations with focus on continued optimization.
  • Assist with 200+ property tax filings seeking tax saving opportunities.
  • Support state and local tax credits and incentives.
  • Assist with indirect tax audit defense including information document requests (IDR) responses.
  • Provide timely and accurate advisory support service to Parker divisions.
  • Ensure the timely response and resolution of indirect tax notices.
  • Support function-wide continuous process improvement including sales tax exemption certificates.
  • Support the team in all areas of tax including identified special projects.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Prior corporate or regional/big 4 accounting experience a plus.
  • Self-motivated individual with desire for continuous learning.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other Windows-based applications.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with ONESOURCE, Alteryx, and Microsoft Power Apps a plus.
  • Team player who is also able to work independently as the situation requires.
  • Strong analytical abilities and logic skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized work habits.
