Position Summary

Leads the planning and management of resources to deliver the most efficient technology and data solutions across the divisional locations. Leads the discovery of innovative systems solutions to divisional management problems. With guidance, develops strategic plans in accordance with divisional and group expectations and needs, incorporates enterprise systems solutions, and supports Corporate IT direction and goals. Develops ad hoc solutions and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests.

 

Responsibilities

·       Own and maintain the division Data Governance processes as well as providing an analytics service through Business Intelligence and Data Science techniques, providing insight and appropriate actions for sites in the division.

·       Enhance the quality and effectiveness of data and information across the division, increasing awareness and ownership across the locations.

·       Collaborate with Enterprise IT, Group/division leadership, HPTs, and users to identify opportunities and ensure information is both used and exploited effectively, efficiently, and legally across the organization.

·       Ensure and measure the quality of all Division core information asset types, along with setting targets for improvement, providing and enabling a consistent approach to increased regulation and compliance.

·       Build and maintain a development backlog to support the improvement of Data systems and reporting across the division.  Work with Engineering Material Group, Divisional Leadership, and HPTs to prioritize and ensure business value is gained from each change, challenging as appropriate.

·       Monitor the wider Master Data Management (MDM) and Business Intelligence/Analytics market and collaborates with enterprise, group, and divisions to ensure continuous alignment and review of the Parker and Engineering Materials Group Strategy.  Exploits new methodology and technology to improve divisional processes and systems.

·       Regularly interact with the Divisional leadership, Sites and Business Process Owners (BPOs) teams to communicate, plan and land the business process changes, data ownership capability and best practices as new data solutions and ways of working are rolled out across the division.

·       Support data integration for accelerated systems implementations.

·       Collaborate with corporate data analytics team to ensure that the division is using existing or new corporate data marts and integrating them into group reporting.

 

Qualifications

·       Bachelors degree in Information or Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.

·       Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through five or more years of experience.

·       Able to engage with and influence BPOs and Divisional management.

·       Identifies opportunities to be able to use data to provide insight, value and improved decision making across all levels of the organisation.

·       Confident to simplify complex data issues and report back challenges, asks and needs.

·       Able to work on many different workstreams and prioritising team activities.

·       Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

·       Outstanding customer service orientation.

·       Knowledge of appropriate Data driven regulatory requirements (i.e. DFARs, Data Privacy and GDPR).

·       Able to identify and create guidelines, policies and supporting training requirements needed to ensure consistency in data management and ownership.

·       Strong knowledge and experience of Business Intelligence technologies, such as Business Warehouse and Data Lake technologies and tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, SQL.

·       Knowledge of automation and integration tools (API, UiPath, PowerAutomate).
