Responsible for supervising and efficiently using the resources at his/her disposal for the transformation of raw material in the direct and/or indirect production areas of the plant, having the safety of his/her workers as a primary factor. Responsible for supervising the execution of the daily production plan and to ensure compliance with production goals through hour-by-hour tours, as well as to follow effective escalation processes to support departments and / or direct supervisor in case of any eventuality that jeopardizes the above.

The scope includes supervising the execution of the compliance of the work standards of the area and the compliance of the processes/systems required to guarantee a quality product.

  • Supervise labor resources (staffing) required for the manufacture of raw materials, directly or indirectly
  • Ensure compliance with Parker's internal supervisor manual
  • Supervise the execution of the production plan
  • Support the execution of work standards to maximize the hourly rate of the production cells
  • Support the reduction/elimination of waste and inefficiencies throughout the processes, in particular inventory, waiting, unnecessary movements, rework, etc., by teaming up with the functional areas of engineering, materials, quality and maintenance through escalation processes
  • Leadership and maintenance of improvement boards (Team Improvement Board)
  • Apply the disciplinary matrix of Safety and Processes when  applicable
  • Support tiered audit processes to ensure the execution of defined processes on production lines
  • Facilitate platform and problem-solving tools using natural work teams and whiteboarding for improvement (TIB)
  • Design and maintain a robust and functional skills matrix
  • Support kaizen-type improvement events and improvement projects according to the division's annual strategy

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Studies
  • Professional Studies in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent (desirable)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar or related position (desirable).
  • Management and development of personnel
  • Problem solving tools (desirable)
  • Basic fundamentals of continuous improvement (Lean)
  • Use of Microsoft Office (basic)
  • Manufacturing of hydraulic valves
  • Effective communication
  • Leadership – personnel management
