Provide cost estimates, create and maintain bills of material for new and existing products, utilizing design standards.  Position requires the ability to work independently, to be a team player and to control and balance costing responsibilities with special project assignments.  

-Develop timely and accurate cost data and technical information for new and existing products.  

-Create final assembly, sub-assembly and component drawings to meet customer specifications utilizing CAD and applicable design standards.  

-Develop and maintain bills of material for new and existing products.  

-Interacts daily with Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering to complete jobs, standardize products, and reduce costs.  

-Provide advice and counsel on design standards.  

-Ensure the initiation, accuracy and maintenance of revisions to bills of materials and product drawings.  

-Review and ensure effective use of materials, tools, equipment and production personnel to reach target cost/price for all division projects.  

-Use independent judgement that benefits customer service and preserves division profitability.  

-Follow detailed design guidelines to define manufactured products within configuration limits.  

-Minimum 5 years of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment.  

-Minimum 3 years of on-the-job experience with AutoCAD or similar software is preferred.  

-Basic knowledge of continuous improvement principles and techniques.    
-Ability to use standard business applications software and specialized data analysis tools (i.e.: Oracle, Cognos, SFDC) 
-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, is pro-active and follows through with tasks.  

-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, detail oriented 

-Proficient in Microsoft Office 
-Ability to work on problems of fundamental scope and complexity.   
-Ability to research and analyze data and develop recommendations or resolve problems.  Ability to work with only general work direction and instructions regarding the scope of assignments; determine priority and order of assignments; and use considerable discretion in selecting procedures and techniques.  Ability to respond to inquiries or issues from Value Stream Managers, Department Managers, Sales and customers.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.   

-Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
