Role Summary
Here at Parker Meggitt, we’re recruiting for a SAP Functional Expert early on in their career o work within our Ansty Park-based SAP Applications SME Team who work closely with functions across the global business to identify, develop, and deploy manufacturing ERP capability. In this role you’ll work closely with the business SAP SMEs to shape and drive a delivery plan, especially for the manufacturing optimisation arena and will capture, analyse and document business requirements, as well as assist with business support and change projects.

You will work closely with SAP applications teams, AMS service provider, SAP Architects, Project Managers, Senior Stakeholders, and other business teams to understand current and future business requirements, products and operations, and to use this understanding to clearly articulate and document SAP requirements, design and development teams.

Your responsibilities 

• Acting as a core member of an agile, dynamic focused team driven by business change and continuous improvement and working closely with internal and external teams to deliver SAP support and enhancements
• Implementing and deploying SAP template solutions to achieve defined business goals to design, maintain, deploy solutions for Supply Chain component and cross functional components such as production planning, procurement, finance etc.
• Acting as point of contact to the business, addressing all MM/WM solution issues and requirements within implemented templates and highlighting the impact of changes
• Participating and facilitating workshops and requirement gathering sessions
• Designing, building and implementing business-specific solutions and deploy through the standard governance of solution testing, issue resolution into go-live support
• Managing the design, documentation and implementation of processes and process improvements in conjunction with BPOs, Super Users, SAP functional specialists and third-party as part of the SAP CoE
• Initiating continuous improvements activities to increase the efficiency of the business information systems and meet global business objectives
• Creating end-user training, including the creation of appropriate documentation and user manuals
 

Who we are looking for

• Educated to Associate’s degree level or equivalent experience
• Functional and technical knowledge of SAP applications and processes in the areas of MM, WM, PP, IM and Procurement.
• Understanding of SAP queries and integration with external reporting tools, master data management and cross SAP modules integration interfaces
• Ability to research and analyse data effectively in order to compile information and present findings
• Excellence verbal and written skills with an excellent customer service orientation and the ability to influence stakeholders
• Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, prioritising duties with minimal supervision in order to meet deadlines
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers
• Basic skills in resolving conflicts and maintaining a positive team dynamic
• Demonstrated ability to provide manufacturing domain knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft tools and Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
• Knowledge of Aerospace manufacturing
