At Parker’s Industrial Process Filtration Division, we collaborate with our customers to offer filtration solutions for complex contaminant management issues. Our aim is to enhance product quality and safeguard critical equipment against maintenance issues and downtime.

 

The Industrial Process Filtration Division directly supports North America. In addition, IPF works with our global Parker Hannifin regional entities to leverage IPF products across the globe.

To assist and support the Production Supervisor Elements in the operation and proper use, allocation and management of the department’s employees, manufacturing equipment and tools, and other resources to ensure that established processes and procedures are followed to safely, expeditiously and efficiently produce a quality product.

The duties may include all those associated with a department-specific Machine Operator IV position, plus the following: 

 

  • Act as department supervisor in Production Supervisor Elements’ absence. 
  • Set-up and operate department production equipment, tools and machinery. 
  • Enter operating parameters and other data on computer controlled equipment, if any. 
  • Organize and complete job paperwork and other administrative tasks, as needed. 
  • Stage materials and supplies, as needed. 
  • Sample test product, if required 
  • Perform daily routine and preventive maintenance on department equipment and machinery. 
  • Ensure department employees function as a team; perform duties in a safe, efficient and expeditious manner; follow approved processes and procedures; and collaboratively interact with other departments. 
  • Train new employees. 
  • Assist in cross-training of personnel. 
  • Receive instructions and assignments from Supervisor and transmit them to department employees. 
  • Help to expeditiously and safely solve work-related problems, machine and process malfunctions, and material availability. 
  • Inspect parts for conformance to applicable specifications and work instructions. 
  • Continuously monitor and assess department processes and procedures from the perspective of efficiency, productivity, safety and quality. 
  • Ensure that the department operational and contiguous areas are maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition. 
  • Promote and follow the 5S system. 

 

TOOLS 

Must be able to use all tools of department-specific Machine Operator IV.

The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following: 

  • At least 2-5 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing/fabrication environment. 
  • Perform all department-specific functions of a Machine Operator IV. 
  • Ability to lead a team and maintain a team-oriented environment.  
  • Ability to teach, train, assess, counsel and mentor others. 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

  • High School Diploma and/or GED. 
  • Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must meet the physical demands for the position including, but not limited to, the ability to: 

  • Stand for long periods. 
  • Bend, stoop, walk, kneel, crouch, carry and climb. 
  • Use hands and/or arms to finger, handle, feel and reach. 
  • Talk and hear. 
  • Frequently, lift and/or move 1 to 20 pounds, and occasionally, up to 40 pounds. 
  • Work from elevated platforms and/or ladders. 
  • Use specific vision faculties which include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.  The duties of this job may be performed in non-controlled temperature environments and in an area of moderate to high noise levels.

  • Review PPE Hazard Assessment Certification Form for safety requirements. 
  • Actively lead Safety awareness. 
  • Participate in Safety audits. 
  • Implement multiple safety ideas or improvements on behalf of Elements team.
