Advocate and support the Corporate Win Strategy by supervising the receipt, storing, movement, delivery, and accuracy of plant materials. Capable of operating a variety of material handling equipment, fully understand material transactions, scheduling team members, equipment, and supplies to meet internal and external customer needs.

Supervisory responsibility includes, but is not limited to training and developing subordinates, delegating work assignments, writing, and conducting performance appraisals, coaching, and counseling employees and administering disciplinary procedures up to and including written warnings.

 

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

·         Arrive at work one half hour prior to shift start. Responsible for ensuring efficient startup of materials team to support the production cells.

·         Conduct/Supervisor a materials team start up meeting covering S,Q,D,C daily topics

·         Ensure the required materials are delivered to cells on-time with no downtime.

·         Materials associates in place ready to begin work on time (shift start, returning from lunch and breaks)

·         Ensure Team Leads have directive such as monitoring the shift from beginning to end for efficiency.

·         Conduct layered material movement audits daily and follow coaching guidelines.

·         At shift end, meet with incoming shift and ensure organized hand off and communicate needed information. Discuss the day’s issues / opportunities with manager if not addressed during the shift.

·       Ensure EHS practices are followed throughout all materials areas. Correct issues as they arise. Documentation of near miss occurrences, lead A3 problem solving process to prevent recurrences.

·         Ensure new team members are trained properly on scan guns, scales, and motorized equipment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and three years of related experience is required.
  • Must have demonstrated problem-solving, time management and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively work with people in a team environment and at various levels of the organization.
  • Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Will interact with employees at all levels of the organization, customers, and outside contacts.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit, and use hands to grasp and handle.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and ability to focus.
  • This position may be exposed to moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • This position may require occasional travel and alternating of work hours.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate will be required to walk, talk, or hear. Will be required to stand, sit, and reach with both hands and arms.
