Oversee machine and secondary activity within assigned department including safety and quality; communicate issues to supervisor. 

·         Manage inventory in 3409 and 3419 to support IPD Plant locations; manage subcontract work for dept 3409 and 3419

·         Trouble shoot all equipment within the dept and utilize appropriate support resources as needed

·         Maintain and update data using mainframe (MSS) computer system (Check inventory); help manage raw material inventory

·         Make jobs using the MSS mainframe system, and close jobs when process is complete

·         Prioritize, plan, and assign resources to meet customer requests

·         Track components at anneal – silver plater any other sub-contract

·         Ensure products meet quality requirements

·         Load machines, as needed

·         Communicate with customer services using various mediums/tools i.e., phone, email, etc.

·         Primary Back-up for Everlube, barrel finisher and Lube 5

·         Train and develop team members

·         Work closely with Assembly to provide components needed to meet production demands

·         Monitor team progress and post data on the Team Improvement Board

·         Lead and facilitate HPT meetings, engaging employees in the improvement process

·         Lead continuous improvement efforts

·         All other duties as assigned

Education, Credentials and Previous Experience:

·         High school diploma or equivalency

·         Minimum two (2) years production experience

 Technical Depth and Breadth:

·         Basic knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft excel and other business applications (MSS) and planning tools.

·         Basic knowledge of inventory and inventory reconciliation process.

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring tools, Kanban system a plus.

·         Knowledge of Team Improvement Board (TIB), LEAN concepts, and problem-solving techniques.

·         Perform tasks with little supervision

·         Able to effectively work on and manage multiple tasks daily, communicate professionally with co-workers, show flexibility to learn multiple jobs within the department, and show aptitude to perform essential job functions listed above.

·         Actively participate in improvement activities, Lean projects

Physical and Mental Demand:

·         Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time (8 – 10 hours per day).

·         Frequently required to work around and/or visit manufacturing operations exposed to noise, fumes, heavy machinery, and other shop-related hazards.

·         Lifting and stacking up to 26 lbs.

·         Use of Personal Protective Equipment as required, may include safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and/or any other equipment deemed necessary.
