*For the level of projects worked and for security purposes, this role is restricted to UK + EU nationals only. This is a site-based role with the potential to work from home one day a week, when the nature of the work permits.

Role Summary

As a Qualification Engineer at Parker Meggitt, you will have the opportunity to develop cutting edge, safety critical technology for commercial and military aerospace. Your responsibilities

• System verification including system tests, qualification tests and flight tests
• Compilation of qualification plans, procedures and reports
• Support system certification and customer approval
• Follow robust configuration control, review and change management processes
• Assisting in the compilation of estimates, task lists and risk management plans
• Work with customers and respond to their requests in a timely and professional manner
• Work with other engineering disciplines and other internal departments across the whole company
• Work with external sub-contract organisations as required

Who we are looking for

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal and team-building skills
• Decision making skills
• Analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports and present findings
• Well-organised, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
• Intermediate level knowledge of PC software applications and strong understanding of PC operating systems

Ideally you will also have

• Experience of working in the Aerospace industry performing Environmental and EMC qualification tests in accordance with DO-160G or equivalent military standards
