Essential Functions

Prepares packages for shipment and maintain shipping log of outgoing shipments.  Record shipment data such as weight, size and charges.  Ensure shipments meet customer specifications.  Pack samples, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.  Schedule shipments with Federal Express and other courier services.  Product movement via forklift.  Adhere to quality standards and guidelines. Maintain accurate records  Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices  Report shipping/receiving issues to Value Stream Team Leader  Shared responsibility for finished goods meeting or exceeding customer expectations  Moving necessary materials through a production process within the facility.  Maintain raw material inventory levels by determining material requirements per established  Review daily material requirements by job and provide adequate material for production.  Keep the material storage area clean and organized.  Move materials from production to upstream processes, supermarkets or shipping  Receive materials as required, attach barcodes to materials and fill out checklists.  Replenish spools, supplies, etc.  Remove / account for scrap.  Remove dunnage and other supplies as required.  Product movement via forklift.  Adhere to quality standards and guidelines. Maintain accurate records  Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices  Report warehouse issues to Value Stream Team Leader  Perform work of an equal or lower classification Responsible for picking, packing, distributing, sorting, organizing, allocating material to the proper work orders, and orders.  Understand Page control number and labeling methods for ongoing material traceability  Locates stock and delivers items to their destination upon request.  Ensures incoming deliveries are accurate and stocks supply room with new goods  Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory and identifies reorder needs for the supervisor.  Checks order forms, delivery requests, and approval forms to ensure proper documentation, accuracy, and on time  Identify any special instructions or customer requirements.  Ship domestic freight (ltl, tl, air, etc.)  Prepare bills of lading, airship bills, and all required documentation  Prepare export expedites. Prepare shipment tracking for domestic and international  Verify receipt quantities and data. Create receivers and file receiving documents. Manage distribution of receiving  Scan required information: department that tubing is going to, location of tubing in warehouse, and control numbers  Stocking products from the production areas. High School Diploma or GED  U.S. Citizen or permanent residency status required  Read work orders & specifications  Must be competent in basic mathematical, as well as verbal and written communication.  Computer/data entry skills a must.  Ability to neatly and accurately complete forms and other documentation.  Good time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.  Strong attention to detail and accuracy.  Must have the physical ability to use hands and arm strength for long periods of time.  Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Physical & PPE Requirements: Standing, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), walking, work under normal conditions. Steeltoed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs (85-90 dB) are all required PPE when working in the mfg plant. All PPE provided by Company.
