Essential FunctionsGenerally Reports To Corporate Compensation Manager Supervise Others No Position Summary Supports the design, development, analysis, and application of global compensation programs for Parker. The primary focus includes: annual compensation planning, competitive pay analysis, base pay programs, job evaluations, non-sales incentive, and sales incentive pay programs. Will also provide analytical and implementation support for equity-based compensation programs and other special projects as assigned. Works directly with Division leadership, HR leadership, and the regional compensation and benefits team around the world.
Responsibilities• Provides analytical and implementation support in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of compensation programs including base pay and variable pay elements for salaried employees on a global basis. • Consults with managers and HR business partners on compensation issues and practices. • Works closely with the global compensation team, corporate finance, and various business leaders on plan modeling and simulations. • Cooridnates the annual competitive pay analysis process including survey portfolio strategy, survey participation, data analysis, evaluation and recommendations. • Maintains the market survey benchmark database and ensures accurate, current matches exist for salaried positions. • Performs market competitive pay analyses as requested. • Analyzes and prepares salary structures, merit increase data, and related comp data and prepares reports and recommendations. • Assists in the coordination and development of decision tools for the annual merit review process. • Conducts research and analysis of compensation practices and trends and identifies and recommends changes. • Designs, develops and delivers compensation related educational and communication programs. • Provides analytical reporting related to compensation data, and internal equity across the business groups. • Supports job evaluation and job grading processes and provides analytics that assure validity and consistency. • Provides analytical support for the development of new compensation systems and programs at (i.e. variable pay, sales incentive, etc.) • Will be expected to provide analytical and project leadership support to other areas within the Total Rewards Department as needed.
QualificationsEducation & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field. (MBA preferred) • Minimum 5 years of compensation experience. • Position requires knowledge and experience developing pay structures, completing job evaluations, performing market competitive pay analysis, and evaluating and interpreting salary survey data. • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred. • Experience in compensation for global manufacturing company a plus. • Must possess excellent analytical abilities and expert Excel skills. • Must be proficient in Word, use of created databases and PowerPoint. • Knowledge and experience using PeopleSoft preferred. Skills & Competencies • Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper opportunities. • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. • Must have strong customer service, organization, and project management skills.
