The IoT Engineering Manager will be responsible for architecting, developing and delivering Industrial and Mobile IoT solutions, UI, APIs in the Azure cloud environment. Responsibilities include evangelizing solutions with customers, leading business and IT stakeholders through designing a robust, secure and optimized Azure architecture. Using Azure public cloud and open source technologies, the IoT Engineering manager shall implement state of the art, scalable, high performance IoT Cloud and Edge solutions that meet the todays and future customer needs.

Supervision and Interaction: Has Direct Reports __X__ The Engineering Manager must take the lead in directing and delegating resources to meet cost targets, implementation timetables, production support requirements, field problems with solutions under his/her control, management and administration of the department. Subordinates include Software Engineers, System Engineers, and third party development resources. Essential Functions: • Lead all efforts to architect, develop, deploy, and support the software that drives Parker's SaaS based IoT offerings. • Optimize cloud based IoT solutions to minimize cost, maximize performance and scale. • Provide thought leadership for cloud technology inside Parker and collaborate with crossfunctional engineering and IT teams to improve Parker's IoT Cloud Platform. • Optimize data usage over wireless networks for both performance and cost considerations. • Triage production issues and meet the SLA needs of the system • Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop and implement solutions • Recruit, hire, and maintain the right personnel to deliver on time and with quality • Establish the long term vision for Parker technology to improve performance and future proof our solutions. • Make efficient use of and help develop relevant standards. • Direct liaison between vendors and purchasing department when required. • Keep abreast of competitive product lines and market developments.

Clear passion for IoT and ability to identify possibilities in our industry • Demonstrated success in executing and directing new product development activities • 10+ years relevant new product development experience working in a fast-paced environment • 7+ years experience operating in an agile software development environment • 7+ years experience leading software and systems engineering teams • Ability to create long term vision and architectural approaches for software design and implementation • Development experience in JavaScript, C++ (.Net), and Python • Experience with RESTful APIs and Web based data structures such as JSON • Experience with React, AngularJS, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, and AJAX -Web application development • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering is a must, Masters Degree is preferred • Must demonstrate effective organizational, and verbal/written communication skills. • PC Literate (AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, Lotus Notes preferred).
