POSITION SUMMARY: Position requires individual to perform all duties and responsibilities required of Electrical Mechanical Technician. Without supervision, performs maintenance functions on equipment, machinery, and buildings. In addition, performs plumbing, carpentry, fabrication, and electrical duties. Utilizes PC’s and software for troubleshooting and equipment enhancement. Instructs other maintenance department personnel about proper procedures.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • May be called upon to perform duties and responsibilities of Electrical Mechanical Technician III. • Following safe and proper procedures and with minimal supervision while performing required building and electrical equipment and electronic functions including diagnosing causes of malfunctions, installation, and maintenance of sophisticated systems. • Receives and interprets verbal instructions, drawings and blueprints. • Designs, builds, programs, diagnoses, and documents electronic control systems. • Operates welder, drill press, cutoff saw, band saw, and other maintenance machinery and tools. Also uses ammeter, oscilloscope, volt-ohm meter, printed circuit boards, and computers. • Completes paperwork as required, including job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc. • May be required to perform other duties within the maintenance department. May be called upon to work late evening, early morning, or other unscheduled hours to perform necessary emergency repairs. • Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control. • Is responsible for safety and quality of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies. • Perform lead person responsibilities as designated. • Performs project work, design, specify, and installation. • Develops safe work procedures. • Develops plant installation standards for production equipment. • Develops and improves preventative and productive maintenance practices. • Trains other maintenance personnel. • Implements maintenance projects including working with engineering in project development and completion. • Utilizes CMMS to increase department efficiencies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Required: High school education. Preferred: Associate’s degree in industrial technology with six or more years of experience.
