As a Value Stream Lead at Parker, you will coordinate work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products. Your current skills and knowledge will be an asset in this role as you interact with support departments, salaried and hourly employees. Essential Functions • Ensure all safety polices are followed by promoting Safety 360 and “Culture Self-Check” environment • Coordinate standard work activities of employees engaged in the production or processes of goods, such as inspectors, machine operations, and assemblers, etc. • Confer with Value Stream Managers daily, weekly, monthly to coordinate operations and activities within the Value Stream or Department • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production priorities to meet production goals • Utilize PDCA with problem solving, team improvement, and day by hour boards to ensure results. • Inspect materials, products, or equipment for defects or malfunctions • Observe work and monitor indicators to ensure operations conform to production or processing standards • Conduct Group Leader and Team Member training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employees training to experienced workers • Keep records of employee attendance for payroll administration • Interpret specifications, and job orders for department team members • Requisition materials and supplies or maintenance work orders • Maintain daily operation data, such as time, production, and cost records and assist with preparation of management reports of production results • Escalate team member performance/behavior problems and/or complaints to management • Set-up and adjust machines and equipment • Assist Value Stream manager with projects, as needed • Drive HPT Leadership at every level to create a continuous improvement, employee empowered environment • Assist training and development of Group Leaders The essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
