The Bioscience and Water Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin, headquartered in Oxnard, CA, is looking for an Electro Chemist. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and works well in multi-disciplinary teams and is willing to dive into an existing project, self-teach and begin to contribute. This role will be expected to investigate the current state, evaluate, and propose a path forward for a dedicated project.
The Electro Chemist will be responsible for the Integration and characterization of electrochemical devices and systems. They will learn and assess current state of existing technology and interface with team to quickly accept handoff of technical information relating to project. The role will create list of required equipment to evaluate characterize and improve current design(s) as well as lead the development and fulfillment of all electrochemistry related project deliverables.
An ideal candidate will have a PHD or Masters in Electrochemistry. Candidates with a Bachelors and relevant professional experience will be reviewed and considered. We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills and can help manage projects ad priorities. In addition, candidates must have experience in Physical Polymer chemistry and/or Physical Electrochemistry as extensive depth in characterization of redox electrolytes. We are also looking for someone who has a strong background in materials synthesis and experience in fabrication and assembly of electrochemical cells, Candidates should also have experience with instrumentation and practical application of electrochemistry in commercial R&D setting.
