GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED Employee is responsible to pull orders accurately in a safe and timely manner. Employee must be able to demonstrate good work ethics in teamwork and individual work. Employee must be able to work well under pressure and execute duties in a prioritized manner daily. Has responsibility for meeting department targets for safety, quality, cost, customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES • Safely and effectively operate forklift throughout the facility and accurately pick finished product • Accurately and neatly fill out all paperwork required • Shrink wrap and palletize order –often by hand • Load shipments on trailers by hand and forklift as needed. • Always follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when in designated work areas • Follow set priorities throughout shift • Responsible for housekeeping and organization standards in assigned areas of warehouse • Perform daily and weekly forklift safety verification. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE • Ability to work independently and within a team equally • Be able to communicate concern, issues and work duties effectively. • Ability to solve basic math problems • Experience working in a fast-past environment/ manufacturing plant • Previous in: Shipping/ Receiving/ Material Handling (preferred) • Experience driving a clamp attachment (preferred) SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE (Cont.) • Bilingual, English & Spanish (preferred) • Ability to learn quickly and self-motivated with tasks and duties as assigned • 6 months of Class I (sit down) forklift experience required TRAINING REQUIRED • Forklift Certification • Battery Charging • Standard Safety Training EQUIPMENT/ TOOLS USED • Forklift • Hand Pallet Jacks • Shrink Wrapper/Palletizer • Steel toe/composite shoes required • Additional equipment as needed/ assigned
