The Demand Planner develops, prepare and analyzes the rolling demand forecast for their assigned product families in support of US and Mexico sales organizations.

This role collaborates with the commercial teams, product management, supply chain and finance to understand demand forecast drivers as a critical input to the monthly Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process.

  • Participates in the monthly demand planning process for their assigned product families in support of the SIOP, financial projections, Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Planning.
  • Combine statistical forecast with commercial intelligence to provide future demand for short and long-term planning
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly review meetings to validate and authorize the product family demand plan, prepare meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Diagnose significant changes, order patterns, abnormal demand and forecast error to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Manage the demand planning of phase-in and phase-out products.
  • Maintain planning data and parameters in the demand planning system and assist in the selection of the most appropriate forecasting methods.
  • Develop the SKU level forecast for master scheduling and materials requirement planning.
  • Support key customer collaboration planning engagements by preparing inputs and conducting co-planning meetings.

    Qualifications REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years’ experience in marketing, sales, product management or operations function
  • Exposure to ERP / MRP systems and data reporting tools PREFERRED
  • Demonstrated experience in forecasting, demand planning or supply planning
  • Certified Professional Forecaster or APICS/ASCM certification
  • Lean / Green Belt training
  • Awareness of products, technologies or primary market segments for assigned portfolio EDUCATION REQUIRED
  • B.S. Degree, preferably in related science discipline or in business
