The Manufacturing Assistant helps accomplish the manufacture of finished products and their corresponding intermediates within an assigned production area of the facility in order to assure an uninterrupted supply of quality products to customers.

  • Operate packaging and filtration equipment, pumps, and scales. Prepare containers for the packaging of finished products
  • Prepare requisitions and perform repack operations.
  • Manufacture blend batches. Prepare polymer solutions and pre-wets.
  • Operate forklifts and drum trucks (two wheel, four wheel, handcarts).
  • Use grind gauges and thermometers.
  • Stand (up to 100% of the time), walk (up to 100% of the time), bend 90 degrees (up to 90% of the time), push/pull (up to 75% of the time), lift (up to 50% of the time), and climb stairs (up to 25% of the time).
  • Lift/carry materials weighing up to 55 pounds (up to 50% of the time).
  • Work in all weather conditions.

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions. Knowledge of basic algebra and statistics.
  • Knowledge of chemistry, specifically the chemical reactions occurring during production.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, including a working knowledge of SAP software.
  • Ability to work any shift as well as overtime during the week and on weekends as needed. Ability to work independent of direct supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with supervisors, coworkers, and other shifts and/or departments. Ability to effectively communicate with management and coworkers.
  • Ability to complete the job without direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to wear a respirator substantiated via quantitative fit testing.
