Job Scope: The Business Analyst will be part of the global marketing team, which unites deep market knowledge, vast experience in Life Sciences and a collaborative culture to deliver the solutions that our customers need to achieve their scientific goals. Reporting to the Division Marketing Manager but working in close concert with the Strategic Pricing Manager, the Business Analyst will be focused on using data to recommend and execute business improvement projects that result in impactful results. The business analyst’s role will interact with global sales, engineering, pricing, strategic marketing and product management teams working on a wide variety of projects that seek to optimize product offering, streamline pricing analyses and quoting, inform strategic planning actions for medium term double digit sales growth and align the Division around a comprehensive data set that aggregates market, competitive and global pricing inputs. The position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a strong analytical background and experience in Marketing, Business, Finance and/or Engineering, specifically in a high performing strategic planning, or finance environment, demanding a sophisticated approach to understanding strategic needs, financial/market models, pricing models, competitive trends and business impact. The candidate should have demonstrated financial and business acumen with a high level of curiosity about customers’ needs and be able to translate those needs into a clear and concise business strategy to promote value-based solutions using the PPF technology platform to support those unmet customer needs. The successful candidate should be a creative and resourceful team player who demonstrates strategic agility, structured thinking, and intellectual curiosity with the ability to deal with ambiguity and translate complex concepts into actionable insights while utilizing a collaborative approach, across matrixed organizations with multiple global cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Pricing, Applications, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement).

As a key member of the Pricing cell, the business analyst will undertake the following responsibilities: • Audit daily price variance reports to ensure compliance to established pricing policy and delegation of authority • Utilize Siebel quote system to obtain quote approvals from management stakeholders • Execute quarterly contract renewals and approvals in Siebel, working closely with the pricing manager and commercial team • Implement Division annual list price adjustments including communication to customer service, sales teams and intercompany partners • Process relevant pricing information on new part number/product family set ups • Track and report win/loss metrics on issued quotes • Run monthly pricing metrics scorecard report and report results to Finance and Instrumentation Group • Maintain automated self-service quoting tools for standard parts to be provided to internal stakeholders (customer service, applications engineering and distributors) • Develop and maintain dynamic pricing analysis tools for activities such as SPI calculation & forecasting and segmented price variance analysis; utilizing these to recommend strategic pricing decisions Other analyst responsibilities: • Maintain data integrity on customer market segmentation database • Develop system to assign and track customer parenting on sales made through intermediary entities • Collaborate with product management team to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive competitor database tracking information such as pricing by product type, region and market as well as competitor profiles and personas; to inform pricing strategy support with value pricing analyses • Collaborate with strategic marketing team to develop, implement and maintain comprehensive database for tracking information as segment size and growth rates, product/solution/technology fit and competitive market share ownership for both • Assume responsibility of Division POP (Parker Operating Protocol) champion o Establish and manage cost and margin targets for the global PPF product lines and portfolios o Conduct regular POP analysis by business units, region, market segments etc. to identify projects to streamline product offerings, pricing strategy, cost position and/or marketing programs o Collaborate with pricing manager, product managers and commercial teams to establish customer and product POP classifications o Provide required analysis to support Simple-by-Design efforts and generate project pipeline that focuses on cost optimization and increasing component utilization across product families • Assume responsibility of Division Customer Experience champion o Acting as an impartial party, reviewing all customer responses received through Likelihood-To-Recommend (LTR) program o Collaborate with Instrumentation Group peers to share best practices o Report monthly LTR results to Division management and other stakeholders o Facilitate customer experience improvement project through cross functional teams • Participate in Product Development Gate Review Process and support pricing manager on value-based pricing analyses • Any other duties as assigned

We cherish curiosity, innovation, and diversity in thought and experience. • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline. • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or Finance preferred • 5+ years' experience of business, marketing, finance or related experience specifically in a high performing strategic planning, or finance environment, demanding a sophisticated approach to understanding strategic needs, market models, pricing models, competitive trends and business impact a must • Experience in B2B and life science industry preferred • Solid computer skills, and experience with data processing and analytics a must; including but not limited to: o Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vba macro programming, simulators) o Database management tools (Access, sql coding) o Microsoft PowerBI o Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems • Demonstrated ability to perform in depth data analyses and derive meaningful insights • Ability to grasp technical concepts associated with Division’s product portfolio • Demonstrated ability to work across matrixed organizations with multiple global cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Pricing, Applications, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement) • Demonstrated strategic thinking and implementation skills; strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable plans • Sharp business acumen, analytic and communication skills; experience with financial statements a must • Demonstrated agility to manage time, handle uncertainty, and work under pressure • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with strong technical writing competency • No travel anticipated
