The Regional Application Engineer as part of the Sales and Marketing team, is responsible for field applications, system design, and customer product development/enhancement. Regional Application Engineers provide sales, marketing and design direction in support of the Division’s growth initiative.

• Large OEM and Distribution management including communication, pricing, quality reports, engineering support and market pricing • Supports Sales and Marketing staff as required to maintain Division’s premier customer service position • Assists in adapting current and new products to customer need and satisfaction • Provide technical expertise and training on product to close on final sale • Assists Engineering and Manufacturing in the development of new and/or revised product according to customer requirements • Develops and maintains knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace. • Keeps management aware of changes which would affect the distribution of Parker products • Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies • Develops and initiates product sales plans relating to pricing, life cycle and forecasting • Investigates market needs for innovative products and communicates them to Engineering for product development • Must maintain highest degree of customer service, throughput, and quality and participate in Division Lean activities

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering • 5-7 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing and/or sales • Excellent electrical and software comprehensions with the ability to understand, describe or discuss problems of a technical nature • Technical competence in Electrical Systems • Knowledge of mobile vehicles a plus • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Application Engineers are required to relate effectively to team members from all parts of the company, as well as external customers • Understanding of financial statements and analysis a plus • Ability to travel internationally. Typical travel for this position is 50% of time.

Job location is in Atlanta or another main hub in Southeast as far north as Baltimore.
