The Engine & Mobile Filtration Division is a global provider of a comprehensive portfolio of innovative filtration products, technologies and solutions that help conserve resources and protect the environment. Our priority is exceptional care of pure air and prevention of air pollution. The Engine & Mobile Filtration EMEA Division employs approximately 550 people across the EMEA region. The Casablanca location is a vertically integrated filtration manufacturer for aftermarket, OES and OE customers, and employs circa 170 employees

You will be responsible for leading, setting and embedding a world class safety culture, focusing on continuous improvement whilst ensuring that all company, country and regional safety and environmental standards, systems and legislative requirements are adhered to. More precisely but not limited to, you will:

Provide clear direction and leadership in the Casablanca location’s management of EHS systems, policies and procedures. Ensure adherence, continual improvement and involvement at all levels

Implement systems to assess the risks to employees, customers, partners and any other people who could be affected by our activities

Arrange for the effective planning, organisation, control, monitoring and review of preventive and protective measures

Ensure the organisation has access to competent health and safety advice

Ensure that employees are consulted about their risks at work and current preventive and protective measures

Ensure timely reporting of all EHS targets and standards including lost work day accidents, recordable accidents, near misses, corporate assessments, compliance and other non-conformances and ensure their effective investigation and closure.

Ensure strong and active leadership from the top through visible, active commitment from division and location leadership; integration of strong health and safety management with business decisions

Ensure employee involvement through the promotion and achievement of safe and healthy conditions; effective communication and the provision of high quality training

Implement assessment and review processes to identify and manage health and safety risks and monitor, report and review performance

Ensure implementation of best practice across EMEA locations

We would like to hear from you if you have:

NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent

Environmental qualification preferably IEMA or IOSH

HSE management experience preferably in a multinational corporation.

Experience of implementing, maintaining and improving ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems

Ability to demonstrate significant knowledge of EHS directives, systems & legal requirements

Engineering qualification or proven background of contributing to safety improvements in a engineering/manufacturing environment

Experience of implementing EHS systems and procedures including near miss, risk and ergonomic assessments, etc

Experience of risk and change management i.e. devising EHS new systems, advising on contractor management for equipment transfers etc

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Lean or other problem solving tools and techniques (A3s)

Ability to translate legislative and regulatory requirement into practical and well understood processes, systems, procedures and documents

Strong communication and interpersonal skills which include the ability to persuade and influence at all levels in the organisation

Flexible and approachable management style with positive, “can do” attitude

Ability to build trust and confidence and establish credibility as a member of Site Leadership Team

Good attention to detail with structured, methodical approach

Self motivation and ability to work with minimum level of supervision to achieve goals

Strong problem solving skills with the ability to provide creative solutions
