The Senior Software engineer is responsible for developing, integrating, testing, verifying and supporting software for Parker Lord electromechanical systems. This position will work closely with the hardware and systems engineering teams during the product lifecycle. Specific Responsibilities include software requirement definition, the development and implementation of software and software test platforms, specification of test equipment, and verification/validation procedures. This position specifically will focus on the Verification / Validation aspects of the typical aerospace “V-Diagram”.

li>Development of all aspects of life cycle data, including requirements, code, verification and validation, and trace data
  • Implementation of DO-178 Processes
  • Development of software tools, such as User Interfaces and Emulators
  • Navigation of requirements management tools

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with three years relevant industry experience (Aerospace, Medical Device, or other regulated systems) and five years in software development, testing, and integration
  • Experience with software programming and/or testing (model based or manual coding techniques)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a team environment and to cultivate strong relationships
  • Familiarity with embedded C
  • Detailed understanding of DO-178 Processes Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience with dSpace frameworks and emulation tools
  • Experience with MATLAB / SIMULINK and code generation
  • Experience with TI libraries for the Delfino family of processors
  • Experience with LabVIEW and with CAN (Controller Area Network) Bus communication
