Position Summary: Assist Kit Pricing and Inventory Lead. Value Add Strategic Pricing for the Hiawatha Service Center. Responsible for proactively analyzing and making recommendations considering customer value-based marketing, competitive markets, and company costs affecting the business plans and profitability. Will collect, analyze and evaluate data supporting Value Added inventory planning for PSO parts. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: ____ Has Direct Reports __X__ Does Not Have Direct Reports Reports to Plant Manager with dotted line to Kit Pricing and Inventory Lead. Monitors and keep PSC focused on corporate strategic pricing initiatives. Responsible for creating and reinforcing continuous feedback vehicles to encourage successful pricing models. Develops, implements, maintains, and continuously improves strategic pricing of value added services with primary focus on kits and assemblies for the PSC. The Inventory Planner will assist with the planning, scheduling and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle. The Planner coordinates the movement of kit materials through production with materials planning, procurement and supply chain staff. Essential Functions: -Performs ongoing measurements and reporting on pricing effectiveness. Maintains and monitors metrics within tools such as the Income Statement, Quote Hit Rate, and Purchased Component Margin Report to ensure profitable value added growth goals are achieved. - Determines appropriate value, prices and margin. - Maintains kit pricing adjustment plan for all PSC kits and implements pricing adjustments by coordinating with Division Strategic Pricing Managers, Sales Force, and PSCs. -Strategic and Value Pricing best practices by coordinating with Value Division Strategic Pricing Managers & Sales. Analyzes value add market and customer segments to determine the ceiling and floor prices. Evaluates cause and effect with volume, cost, competition, and customer pricing power. Implements appropriate levels. -Develops and maintains training documents and standards. Training CSRs to align with processes and strategic expectations. - Analyzes the exception pricing process by recommending guidelines, authority levels and maintaining a disciplined and structured approach to exception pricing. -Interface with Sales, Customers, Divisions and Suppliers to determine appropriate value of kits. -Responsible for annual PSO inventory. - Maintain a variety of schedules, records, and reports pertaining the tracking of materials through the production cycle and availability of production resources. -Assists in executing requisite system transactions needed to support the receipt, storage and transferring of material. -Assists with the monitoring of inventory levels generating tracking reports and performing data entry as required.
- Education and/or Experience: AS or BS degree in Business Curriculum preferred - Strong analytical, quantitative skills and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities. Excellent PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access. - Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. - Project management skills with sales/marketing experience a plus. - General understanding of manufacturing processes, practices and cost accounting. - Must be able to maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping pricing information confidential. - Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprises principles and practices. - Job requirements include standing, bending, stooping, twisting and climbing ladders or stairs Additional Comments: The essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
