Parker Aerospace, Military Flight Controls Divisions is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to participate in a summer intern program. The candidate will assist engineers in preparing product specifications/drawings (conceptualizing and designing cost effective solutions), product performance testing, preparing technical reports, documentation, and project coordination in support of the design engineer/product leader. The candidate must have flexibility, creativity, enthusiasm and be “hands-on” to solve challenging problems in a team environment. Experience in running and writing LabView code is preferred. Possible assignments will include: Engineering and Design You will assist engineers in the development, design, manufacturing, and testing of products. Typical tasks may include: Performance/data analysis, prototype construction, application engineering, part change notice processing, customer print reviews/reviewing and understanding customer needs and expectations, preparing product specifications/drawings (conceptualizing and designing cost effective solutions), product performance testing, preparing technical reports, documentation, and project coordination in support of the design engineer/product leader. Engineering Test Lab You will assist engineers in the development and testing of products for mechanical applications. You will work on testing methods and processes to gain a better understanding of machinery, fixtures, and measurement methods as well as assist with mechanical assembly and gain experience in, troubleshooting techniques. This can include building test tools, or breakout boxes, for debugging test stands, provide instructions/direction on its use, and generate reports summarizing results. Typical activities associated with this position may include CAD modeling, test machining commission/troubleshooting/calibration, engineering data analysis, validation of machine and test parameters, and customer/supplier interaction.

Must be enrolled in Electrical Engineering Major Must be entering their Junior or Senior Year in Fall 2021
