Parker has an opportunity for an Engineering student seeking Summer Internship at its Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division in Marysville, Ohio. This student will be working with our New Product Development Team and will assist with our current IOT sensor pack development for data analytics on hydraulic pumps.
• Maintain and troubleshoot control panels and instrument loops • Support development of data transfer scripts • Data pre-processing evaluation (Developing best practices for data arraignment and translation in excel, JMP or MiniTab) • Electronics lab work, organizing, specification of new equipment, planning layout for future use and for IoT use (test out / calibration area) • Other duties as assigned
• Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Engineering degree- minimum Sophomore classification required • Basic understanding of electrical systems and knowledge of fundamental Engineering principles • Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings • Able to troubleshoot instrument loops • Experience with instrument calibration • Data manipulation (Using Excel, JMP, MiniTab) and programming knowledge (Java, C, C++, Python) • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Able to work effectively with others and be a participative team member • Experience using Engineering CAD programs like Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD as well as data analysis software • Work with minimal supervision and instructions regarding the scope of assignments, determine priority and order of assignments.
