Has responsibility to sustain and maintain manual, semi-automated, and automated Special Test Equipment (STE). Work with PXI-based and PC-based hardware platforms. Be able to develop and maintain code in NI LabVIEW, NI CVI/LabWindows, NI TestStand, Python, and MS Visual Basic 6.0. Design and modify test fixtures to support board level engineering and production testing. Other responsibilities include analyzing customer requirements, deriving product test specifications, and supporting engineering in the development and execution of acceptance test procedures. Reports to the Test Engineering Manager or Project Lead.

  • Develop production Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and Manufacturing Test Procedures (MTP)
  • Develop detail product test specifications from customer requirements
  • Perform engineering testing to support different programs
  • Familiar with Automated Special Test Equipment design and development
  • Work with PXI Embedded controllers and related PXI products
  • Develop and maintain code in NI LabVIEW, NI CVI/LabWindows, and NI TestStand
  • Develop and maintain code in Python and MS Visual Basic 6.0
  • Have comprehensive knowledge on legacy Operating Systems
  • Perform PC repair and maintenance services
  • Understand and utilize SQL database and MS Access
  • Sustain and maintain various types of production Special Test Equipment
  • Design engineering and production test fixtures
  • Operate basic laboratory test equipment such as Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope, and Data Logger

  • BS Electrical Engineering, BS in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 4-5 years of experience with Special Test Equipment hardware and software development
  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize workloads
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple functional teams
  • Familiar with manufacturing and production environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
