With direct supervision, is responsible for work assignments on a part-time or temporary employment basis while enrolled in a university degree program. Assignments are intended to provide entry-level experience and training related to the degree discipline and in Parker business structure, operational functions, customers, and products.

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Acquire knowledge of various department operations, functions, responsibilities and work flow. • Complete well-defined work assignments and actively participate in hands-on projects and/or special assignments. • Learn and become proficient at systems and procedures applicable to work assignments and functional area. • Maintain communication with team leader to include feedback on assignments, scheduling, and program improvements. • Immediate work direction may be assigned to an experienced team member. • Perform other related responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Enrolled in university coursework toward a college degree in Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. • Ability to work effectively in a variety of administrative, technical and manufacturing assignments. • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all contacts. • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
