The Industrial Process Filtration Division is part of the Parker Filtration Group and consists of locations in Texas, North Carolina, and Louisiana.   • RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities described here are representative of those tasks an employee performs to successfully complete the essential functions of this job; however, this is not a comprehensive listing of all tasks that may be assigned or required. The duties include, but may not be limited to the following: • Perform and/or create: order and specification review for vessels, American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) design calculations, Specification Data Sheet, and all required vessel fabrication drawings. • Insure that all applicable customer requirements are defined and communicated in the Specification Data Sheet and Drawings, to include such things as, special welding and inspection requirements, materials, or special fabrication procedures. • Place emphasis on meeting production schedule and delivery requirements. • Support estimating department when required with specification review. • Insure that the cost estimate is thoroughly understood and recognize that it establishes the project budget. • Insure the project budget is not exceeded without management approval. • Where possible, reduce costs below the estimate, consistent with good engineering, fabrication practices and time constraints. • Communicate with the customer to ensure customer requirements are fully defined. • Submit approval drawings and documents to customer on time. • Incorporate customer comments into drawings. • Release complete drawing package to shop on time. • Respond quickly to shop questions and to resolve problems. • Maintain the job/order planning and project schedule. • If delays to the planned schedule occur, notify production schedulers and order entry so that fabrication and shop hours can be adjusted in a timely manner. • When necessary, hold meetings with representatives from Manufacturing, QA and Purchasing. • As necessary, meet with customer representatives or inspectors to insure smooth job flow and positive customer relations. • Prepare a partial bill of materials (BOM) for long delivery items and have the BOM entered into the system.

  • QUALIFICATIONS The requirements described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following: • Four years’ experience in shop fabrication, drafting, quality control or fabrication management in a similar manufacturing environment. • Experience with Microsoft Office, 2D and 3D modeling, and pressure vessel design software, and current ERP system, preferred. • Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Division 1 and ASME B31.3 codes, pressure vessel fabrication, welding procedures, materials and other related industry codes and standards. • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • BS Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering with 3-years related industry experience. • Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
