Oversee day-to-day activities on 3rd shift to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual expectations. Responsible for developing and leading associates, employment decisions and performance assessments of an assigned plant value stream(s). Additionally, responsible for leading all aspects of the plant value stream(s) under the direction of the Value Stream Manager to include: associate development, utilization of team consensus to evaluate decisions, ensure rapid implementation of decisions, budget development and adherence, employment decisions related to associates and performance assessment of Group Leaders and associates.

  • Responsible for the leadership, supervision and coordination of activities and personnel concerned with the receipt, storage and shipment of goods involving a wide range of techniques and skills.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Continuously develop, grow, and cross train high performing team members.
  • Work from policies and general objectives to attain desired results in productivity, accuracy, and material costs.
  • Responsible to help implement and sustain Lean culture.
  • Perform daily layered audits.
  • Communicate daily with all shifts regarding any existing problems or issues.
  • Work with Team Leaders on analyzing existing methods and practices for continuous improvement.
  • Enforce all company rules and regulations while maintaining discipline, moral, and a team environment.
  • Responsible for managing and approving all time
  • Make effective recommendations regarding hiring, salary adjustment and other personnel matters affecting team members.
  • Responsible for completing performance reviews on time.
  • Research quality issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Attend all required meetings / training.
  • Perform other similar and associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives in an effective manner, as assigned by superior or as responsibilities necessitate.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to meet requirements and expectations relating to logistics, and material handling.
  • Responsible for continuous training of all new and existing employees.

    Qualifications
  • Associates degree plus at least 2 years supervisory experience required; minimum 5 years supervisory experience in lieu of associates degree.

  • Possess the technical knowledge of production processes.
  • Work effectively with others as a team leader or team member.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Ability to perform proficiently under pressure situations and time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • MS office proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), COMA, RFgen
