This position is responsible for the safety & productivity of all production employees on a designated shift. Under the direction of the Assembly supervisor, position is responsible for leading and motivating production team members to ensure production schedule is executed in the most efficient & cost-effective manner and within all quality parameters. Shift and Schedule: 3rd shift (9pm to 5am) Sunday- Thursday
• Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of the Mfg. Operator A. • Coordinate all available resources to ensure on time production & delivery of customer orders during shift. • Identify issues and/or bottlenecks within production processes and resolve within shift resources or escalate to assembly Supervisor when additional resources are required. • Verify production data is accurately recorded for the shift. • Actively communicate daily with shift members & supervisor; consult with supervisor/management to resolve worker issues, problems, or complaints. • Actively support plant and company safety programs, promoting and maintaining a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment, confined space entry, etc. • Promote & support a lean manufacturing environment within the facility; actively drive continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. • Communicate plant objectives, vision and values, policies, and activities to production employees. Provide performance feedback to Assembly Supervisor to facilitate and require performance improvement or recognition of production workers.
Essential Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a manufacturing lead. • Working knowledge of personal computers including Microsoft Office applications • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to identify and troubleshoot machine failures and facilitate resolution. • Willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed, to fulfill business requirements.
