The Supplier Performance Improvement Specialist is a key member of the Supply Chain organization driving performance improvement at the most critical suppliers by identifying and resolving complex systemic problems. Implement Supplier Recovery / improvement / standard work, used to develop suppliers to perform at World Class levels by improving process capabilities. Responsibilities include validation of POs to support validation of supplier sales and operations, measure / improve supplier Line of Balances (LOB) and past dues (PD), verify raw material and work in process (WIP) positions, review yield/ quality performance, resolve capacity issues, help proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks within supplier value stream, identify tooling gaps and needs, ensure supplier has stable and accurate demand signals and improve Supplier Look -Ahead metrics.

Responsible for leading recovery efforts on key supplier delivery issues, establishing governance and reporting. Conducting deep dives into constraints and guiding suppliers to resolve them. Will participate in supplier site audits and/or coordinate supplier audits with a cross functional team to determine appropriateness and quality of supplier’s product. This is an extensively supplier facing role and on-site presence is important. As a result there might be 50% to 75% travel Will have responsibility for leading supplier recovery and risk mitigation efforts at supplier sites located anywhere in the country. Will conduct Capacity, Risk and other assessments to ensure supplier rate readiness Will initiate vendor quality management, improvements including evaluating process capability, tracking delivery, output, and reporting of supplier performance. Deploy Supplier Recovery, which may include any combination of assessments, training, quality improvements, delivery improvements, capacity improvement, lead-time reductions, Lean, Six Sigma, and / or cost savings. Lead in cross functional project teams driving improvements in on-time delivery, volatility, sub-tier management. Create and manage implementation of strategic projects including project plans, overall tracking capability, reporting of progress within team and up through leadership. Complete root cause analysis and recommend / implement corrective actions where developed solutions will drive closure of root-cause actions. Interface with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers regarding supplier performance and improvement actions and processes. Be prepared to report out at executive levels on plans and results. Work collaboratively across complex organizational structures to develop and implement systemic solutions as countermeasures to resolve chronic business performance issues.

- Minimum of 5 to 10 years supplier development experience. - 4 year college degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Materials Management. - Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices. - Must have advanced computer skills and be able to understand of electronic processing. - Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. - Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprises principles and practices.
